Teaching Social Studies through the use of nontraditional interactive methods
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá netradičními aktivizujícími metodami a jejich využitím ve vlastivědě v primární škole. Jedná se o metody: čtením a psaním ke kritickému myšlení, místně zakotvené učení, integrovaná tematická výuka, badatelsky orientované vyučování a terénní výuka. Součástí této práce jsou přípravy na hodiny vlastivědy vyučované těmito metodami.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with nontraditional interactive methods and their use in teaching Social Studies in primary schools. It describes: Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking, place based learning, integrated thematic education, inquiry based teaching/learning and field-work. This thesis also includes lesson plans for teaching Social Studies with the above mentioned techniques.
