Reasons for placing children in substitute family care

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce na téma Důvody umisťování dětí do náhradní rodinné péče se skládá ze dvou částí, a to z části teoretické a aplikační. Cílem bakalářské práce je zmapovat a charakterizovat důvody odebírání dětí z rodiny, popsat jednotlivé formy náhradní rodinné péče, do které je odebrané dítě primárně umisťováno a přiblížit činnost sociálních pracovníků OSPOD při práci s rodinou před umístěním dítěte mimo původní rodinu. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol. V první kapitole vymezím pojem náhradní rodinné péče a představím její jednotlivé formy. Následující druhá kapitola je věnována rodině, jejím funkcím, typům, ale zejména pak jejím poruchám, které jsou příčinou ohrožení dítěte. Jedna podkapitola je věnována samotným důvodům, pro které jsou děti z rodiny odebírány. Teoretickou část uzavírám třetí kapitolou, která je věnována sociálně-právní ochraně dětí a nástrojům, které pracovníci sociálně-právní ochrany dětí při práci s rodinou používají. Aplikační část je obsažena ve čtvrté kapitole a jejím cílem je zjistit důvody, které vedou k odebírání dětí z rodiny ve správním obvodu OSPOD v Novém Jičíně a současně na kazuistice ilustrovat činnost sociálních pracovníků OSPOD při práci s ohroženou rodinou před umístěním dítěte mimo původní rodinu.

Abstract:

My bachelor's thesis on the topic Reasons for placing children in substitute family care consists of two parts, a theoretical part and an application part. The purpose of the bachelor thesis is to map and characterize the reasons for taking children from their families, describe the different forms of substitute family care in which the taken child is primarily placed and present how the activities of the social workers of the Child Protection Social Department work with the family before the child is placed outside the biological family. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter I define the concept of substitute family care and introduce its different forms. The following second chapter deals with the family, its functions, types, especially then its disorders which are the root cause of endangerment of the child. One subchapter is focused on the reasons why children are taken from their families. I conclude the theoretical part with the third chapter which is devoted to the social and legal protection of children and the tools that social workers use when working with families. The application part is contained in the fourth chapter and its aim is to find out the reasons that lead to the taking children from their families in the administrative district of the Child Protection Social Department in Nový Jičín and at the same time to illustrate the activities of social workers of the Child Protection Social Department in working with a family at risk before the child is placed outside the original family.
