The Reflection of the Old Homeland in the Works of the Autors of Sudeten German Origin (Die Reflexion der alten Heimat in den Werken von Autoren der sudetendeutschen Herkunft)

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of literary reflections of the concept of the homeland ('Heimat') in the literary works of authors of Sudeten German origin. Reflections on the homeland of the authors J. E. Knobloch, Johann Anderka, Erica Pedretti and Edith Kiesewetter-Giese are also contrasted with the mentions of the homeland of the Austrian writer and native from Olomouc Franz Spunda. The theoretical part explains the concepts of the cultural memory (author Jan Assmann), the spaces of remembrance (author Aleida Assmann) and the homeland (author Andreas Schumann). The practical part of the thesis includes cultural-historical analyses of poems, novels and memoirs and their confrontation with the main idea of the theory of a cultural memory, spaces of remembrance and homeland. The summary and presentation of the analysis results can be found in the work conclusion.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou literárních reflexí pojmu vlast ('Heimat') v dílech autorů sudetoněmeckého původu. Reflexe vlasti autorů J. E. Knobloch, Johanna Anderka, Erica Pedretti a Edith Kiesewetter-Giese jsou také kontrastovány se zmínkami o vlasti rakouského spisovatele a olomouckého rodáka Franze Spundy. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny koncepty kulturní paměti (autor Jan Assmann), prostorů vzpomínání (autorkou Aleida Assmann) a vlasti (autor Andreas Schumann), podle kterých jsou vybraná literární díla charakterizována.. Praktická část práce zahrnuje kulturně-historické analýzy básní, románu a memoárů na základě využití teorii kulturní paměti, prostorů vzpomínání a vlasti. V závěrečné části práce jsou výsledky analýzy vyhodnoceny a prezentovány.
