An Assessment of the Crisis Preparedness for Those Involved in the Transfer of a Patient Suspected of Infection by Ebola from an Airport

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je posouzení připravenosti přesunu pacienta z letiště s podezřením na Ebolu záchrannými složky Integrovaného záchranného systému České republiky. Posouzením možného rizika a příčin při transportu pacienta. Teoretická část je věnována současné platné legislativě upravující součinnost IZS, hospodářských opatření pro krizové stavy, funkce správy státních hmotných rezerv, materiálové zabezpečení vybraných složek IZS a práce BIOHAZARD TEAMU. V praktické části je popsán samotný průběh mimořádné události. Jedna z kapitol je zaměřena na analýzu a vyhodnocení rizik při transportu. V praktické části je řešena problematika transportu, rizik a problémů, se kterými se mohou zasahující členové složek IZS setkat. V závěru Diplomové práce je navržena opatření napomáhající minimalizace rizik při transportu nakaženého pacienta.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to assess the preparedness of the patient to move from the airport with suspicion of Ebola by the Integrated Rescue System forces of the Czech Republic. Assessing the Possible Risk and Causes of Patient Transport. The theoretical part will be devoted to the current legislation regulatory analysis, the co-ordination of IRS, economic measures for crisis situations, the function of state material reserve management, material security of selected IRS components and work of BIOHAZARD TEAM. In the practical part, the course of the extraordinary event will be described. One of the chapters will be focused on the analysis and assessment of transport risks. The practical part deals with transport issues, risks and problems with which forces of the IRS can meet. In the end of the thesis, measures are proposed to help minimize the risk of transporting the infected patient.
