Abstract:

This thesis concentrates primarily on analyzing Ballard Power Systems shares and share value. The thesis is divided into two sections. There theoretical aspect serves as an informational review on the following topics: Stocks, types of stock, stock markets, I.P.O.’s, and Fundamental and technical analysis and information on Ballard Power Systems stock.In the practical section, the focus is on the analysis of Ballard Power Systems stock valuation. This is accomplished primarily through two approaches: The Fundamental Analysis and the Technical Analysis. The Fundamental analysis was completed using revenues, earnings, future growth, return on equity, profit margins. The technical analysis completed by utilizing patterns of price movements, trading signals and other chart analyses. In addition to these to analyses, the author will demonstrate the accuracy of Ballard Power Systems stock valuation, as well as provide comparative evaluation of Ballard Power Systems to stock indices that are focused on renewable energy companies.
