Multicultural education at the second stage of primary schools

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je průřezové téma multikulturní výchova a její působení na 2.stupni ZŠ. Práce je rozčleněna na dvě části. Teoretická část předkládá základní terminologii v oblasti multikulturalismu, která je nezbytná k chápání této problematiky a následnou výuku multikulturní výchovy. Dále obsahuje začlenění multikulturní výchovy do školní politiky v České republice a rámcového vzdělávacího programu. Teoretická část se také zabývá vzděláváním učitelů v této oblasti. V poslední kapitole práce jsou uvedeny cíle multikulturní výchovy. Praktická část práce obsahuje devět pracovních listů, jako inspirativní materiál pro výuku multikulturní výchovy na 2. stupni ZŠ. Tento didaktický materiál slouží hlavně k aktivizaci žáků a podnícení jejich zájmu o odlišné kultury.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the cross-sectional topic of multicultural education and implementation of this education at the 2nd stage of elementary schools. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part presents the basic terminology in the field of multiculturalism, and this provides the necessary background for the better understanding of this area and for the subsequent teaching of multicultural education. It also contains the integration of multicultural education into school policy of the Czech Republic and the framework educational program. I furthermore deal with teacher education in this area in the theoretical part of the thesis and in the last chapter of this part, I present the goals of multicultural education. The practical part of the work contains nine worksheets, i.e., material that should provide inspiration to teachers of multicultural education at the 2nd level of elementary schools. This didactic material serves mainly to engage pupils and to motivate their interest in different cultures.
