Slow tourism as a development direction of domestic tourism in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit slow tourism jako směr rozvoje domácího cestovního ruchu České republiky. První část diplomové práce se věnuje teoretickým základům. Definuje a analyzuje pojmy cestovní ruch, destinace a udržitelný cestovní ruch, včetně jeho vlivu na ekonomické, environmentální a sociokulturní prostředí. Následuje analýza slow tourismu, jeho komparace s masovým cestovním ruchem, a dále analýza požadavků na destinaci slow tourismu. Druhá kapitola se věnuje domácímu cestovnímu ruchu České republiky a zkoumá výhody rozvoje slow tourismu. Třetí kapitola vyhodnocuje dotazníkové šetření, jehož cílem bylo analyzovat předpoklady rozvoje domácího slow tourismu v návaznosti na preference ve spotřebním chování v cestovním ruchu respondentů. Zkoumá také povědomí o udržitelném cestovním ruchu a slow tourismu. Závěrečná kapitola navrhuje lokality v rámci regionů Jižní Čechy, Jižní Morava a Královéhradecko, které jsou vhodné pro realizaci domácího slow tourismu.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate slow tourism as a direction of development of domestic tourism in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis deals with theoretical foundations. It defines and analyses the concepts of tourism, destination and sustainable tourism, including its impact on the economic, environmental and socio-cultural environment. This is followed by an analysis of slow tourism, its comparison with mass tourism, as well as an analysis of the slow tourism destination requirements. The second chapter deals with the domestic tourism of the Czech Republic and examines the advantages of the development of slow tourism. The third chapter evaluates the survey aimed at analysing the conditions for the development of domestic slow tourism in relation to the preferences in consumer behaviour of respondents in tourism. It also explores the awareness of sustainable tourism and slow tourism. The final chapter suggests the locations within the regions of South Bohemia, South Moravia and the Hradec Králové region, suitable for realizing domestic slow tourism.
