Strategies for the Prevention of Risk Behavior among Lower Secondary School Students from the Perspective of a School Prevention Specialist

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu strategií prevence rizikového chování u žáků 2. stupně základních škol z pohledu školního metodika prevence. Teoretická část práce definuje klíčové pojmy v oblasti sociální patologie, vymezuje rozdíly mezi patologickým a rizikovým chováním a popisuje formy těchto projevů v kontextu základního vzdělávání. Současně představuje legislativní rámec a standardní činnosti metodika prevence v rámci školního poradenského pracoviště. Empirická část je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu realizovaném formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Práce se věnuje analýze realizace preventivních aktivit, koordinaci jednotlivých aktérů v procesu prevence a vyhodnocení nástrojů, které metodici ve své každodenní praxi využívají. Závěr práce se zabývá faktory ovlivňující efektivitu preventivního působení a identifikuje systémové i praktické limity, které výkon funkce školního metodika prevence doprovázejí

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the analysis of strategies for the prevention of risk behavior among lower secondary school pupils from the perspective of the school prevention specialist. The theoretical part of the thesis defines key concepts in the field of social pathology, distinguishes between pathological and risk behavior, and describes the forms of these phenomena in the context of primary education. At the same time, it presents the legislative framework and the standard activities of the school prevention specialist within the school counseling system. The empirical part is based on qualitative research conducted through semi-structured interviews. The thesis examines the implementation of preventive activities, the coordination of individual actors involved in the prevention process, and the evaluation of the tools that prevention specialists use in their daily practice. The conclusion of the thesis addresses the factors influencing the effectiveness of preventive interventions and identifies both systemic and practical limitations associated with the role of the school prevention specialist.
