Economic analysis of the company Výtahy, s.r.o.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce ekonomicky analyzuje společnost Výtahy, s.r.o. V úvodu práce je několik stránek o samotné společnosti, její produkci, historii, klíčových momentech a situaci na trhu. V teoretické části jsou popsány aplikované metody ekonomické analýzy. V praktické části lze nalézt horizontální a vertikální analýzu aktiv, pasiv a výkazu zisku a ztrát. Dále je spočítán čistý pracovní kapitál a jeho potřeba. Ekonomický normál zkoumá hospodaření společnosti. Důraz je kladen na poměrové ukazatele - aktivity, likvidity, zadluženosti a rentability. EVA je počítána dvěma způsoby - podle MPO a s pomocí NOPATu. Je aplikováno několik modelů finančního zdraví -- Altmanovo Z-skóre, Tafflerův model, IN05 a další. Podstatná část práce srovnává několik výtahářských firem mezi sebou za posledních 5 let pomocí metody normované proměnné, metody prostého pořadí a bodovací metody. Nakonec je použita Spider analýza pro srovnání s největšími konkurenty společnosti.

Abstract:

This thesis economically analyses the company Výtahy, s.r.o. First there are some pages about the company itself, what it produces, few words about its history and crucial moments and the situation on the market. In the theoretical part the chosen methods of economic analysis are depicted. Practical part focuses on the company Výtahy, s.r.o. The horizontal and vertical analysis of the assets, liabilities and profit and loss account is shown. There is a calcuation of net working capital and its demand. The effectiveness of the company is measured also by a system of logical inequations. Important part is devoted to ratio indexes -- rates of profit, return on sales or assets, solidity of the firm, equity ratio or turnaround period of assets or inventories. The economic value added is counted by two methods -- with the model from Department of industry and trade and with the net operating profit after tax model. I applied several of financial health models to predict and analyse, if the company is doing good or bad. I compared the competing companies among themselves through the last five years based on four criteria. And I used three methods for the final order of the companies. The last comparison is done thru Spider analysis and it shows the economical situation of three Czech elevator companies in last two years.
