Diplomová práce se zabývá historií Akademie múzických umění v Praze, dále jen AMU, konkrétně jejím smyčcovým oddělením. První kapitola líčí situaci umění konce 18. a 19. století v Evropě. Druhá kapitola se zabývá vznikem Pražské konzervatoře z popudu Jednoty pro zvelebení hudby v Čechách, zakládáním konzervatoří v Evropě a osobnostmi Pražské konzervatoře do roku 1919. The main subject of my thesis is the history of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, here in after AMU, concretely its string instrument department. The first chapter tells the brief history of performing arts in 18th and 19th century in Europe.
