The Legitimacy of the Social Worker's Acting at the Office of Social and Legal Protection of Children in Ústí nad Labem

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaobírá tématem legitimity jednání sociálních pracovníků OSPOD v Ústí nad Labem a je z podstatné části založena na rozhovorech prováděných právě s těmito sociálními pracovníky. V práci je především rozebíráno, jak tito sociální pracovníci vnímají pojem legitimní jednání v rámci své profese a kde hledají potřebné informace, nejsou-li si ohledně svého jednání a jeho legitimitě jisti. Zároveň jsou zde rozebírány určité konkrétní situace, které sociální pracovníci popsali a v nichž se ukazuje, jaké metody práce a přístupy ke klientům tito sociální pracovníci volí a je z nich patrné, nakolik se vnímání hranic legitimního jednání u jednotlivých pracovníků liší. Velký důraz je především kladen na to, jak sociální pracovníci vysvětlují svým klientům svou roli v jejich životech, jak postupují při provádění šetření v domácnosti a v jakých situacích přistupují k pořizování fotodokumentace.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the legitimacy of the social workers´ acting at the Office of Social and Legal Protection of Children and it is mostly based on the interviews, which were led with just these social workers. In this thesis, there is chiefly analyzed, how these social workers perceive the concept of legitimate acting within their profession and where they search for information, if they are not sure about their acting and its legitimacy. There are also some certain situations analyzed, which the social workers described and in which it is shown, what methods of work and approaches to clients these social workers choose, and it is also evident from them, how far the social workers differ in their perception of borders of thier acting´s legitimacy. Great emphasis is primarily placed on the ways, how the social workers explain their role to their clients in their life, how they investigate the household of the family and in which situations they take photographs there.
