Sustainable tourism in selected destination

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá udržitelným cestovním ruchem ve vybrané destinaci, konkrétně ve Špindlerově Mlýně. Cílem práce je poukázat na formy, projevy a nástroje udržitelného cestovního ruchu a jejich využití v destinaci a upozornit na negativní dopady turismu na destinaci a životní prostředí. Diplomová práce se dělí na teoretickou a analytickou část a následně výstupy a poznatky práce. Teoretická část se zabývá udržitelným cestovním ruchem, dopady cestovního ruchu, pojetím destinace a destinačního managementu. Analytická část práce se zaměřuje na samotnou destinaci Špindlerův Mlýn. Zkoumá současnost této destinace, jeho infrastrukturu, projevy a formy udržitelného cestovního ruchu a dopady cestovního ruchu právě na dané město a životní prostředí. Dále je v analytické části SWOT analýza a komparace s Pecí pod Sněžkou. Součástí práce je také kvantitativní výzkum v podobě dotazníkového šetření. Závěr je pak shrnutím práce s vyhodnocením stanovené výzkumné otázky a hypotézy.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with sustainable tourism in a selected destination, exactly in Špindlerův Mlýn. The aim of the thesis is to highlight the forms, manifestations and tools of sustainable tourism and their use in the destination and to highlight the negative impacts of tourism on the destination and the environment. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and analytical part and then the outputs and findings of the thesis. The theoretical part deals with sustainable tourism, impacts of tourism, the concept of destination and destination management. The analytical part of the thesis focuses on the destination Špindlerův Mlýn itself. It examines the present of this destination, its infrastructure, the manifestations and forms of sustainable tourism and the impacts of tourism on the town and the environment. Furthermore, the analytical part includes a SWOT analysis and a comparison with Pec pod Sněžkou. The thesis also includes quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire survey. The conclusion is then a summary of the work with an evaluation of the research question and hypothesis.
