Kinorevue 1939-1942: An analysis of a specialized czech film review

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce s názvem Kinorevue 1939–1942: Analýza specializované české filmové revue se zabývá jedním z nejslavnějších filmových časopisů té doby. Autorka této práce se snaží zachytit nejen obsah tohoto časopisu, ale také kulturně-politické prostředí a události. Čtenář se seznámí jak s obecnými informacemi o české kinematografii, tak i s detailními články a názory redaktorů a kritiků této epochy. Autor také odhaluje, jaké filmy byly v tomto období nejvyhledávanější. Na konci práce je dokumentována i grafická podoba časopisu. Období druhé světové války se odrazilo v tvorbě filmů, tisku i ostatních kulturních odvětvích. Tento renomovaný časopis zachytil tehdejší filmové trendy a přispěl k rozvoji české kultury, zejména českého tisku. Tato práce je určena nejen fanouškům tohoto periodika, ale slouží také jako analýza tohoto historického časopisu, který se v dnešní době již nevydává.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis entitled Kinorevue 1939–1942: an Analysis of a Specialized Czech Film Revue deals with one of the most famous film periodicals of that time. The author of this work tries to capture not only the content of this magazine but also the cultural-political environment and events. The reader learns about both general information about Czech cinematography, as well as detailed articles and opinions of the editors and critics of this epoch. The author also reveals what kind of films were the most sought in this period. At the end of the work is also documented the graphic design of this magazine. The period of the Second World War was reflected in the production of films, the press, and other cultural industries. This renowned magazine captured film trends of that time and contributed to the development of Czech culture, especially the Czech press. This work is intended not only for fans of this periodical but also serves as an analysis of this historical magazine, which is no longer published.
