Authentication of the key competences in the field of general biology by means of the didactic test

Abstract:

ANOTACE Předkládaná rigorózní práce nese název Ověření klíčových kompetencí žáků v oblasti obecné biologie prostřednictvím didaktického testu. Rigorózní práce je složena ze dvou částí – teoretické a výzkumné. Teoretická část rigorózní práce shrnuje současný stav řešené problematiky a při jejím zpracování byla analyzována odborná literatura včetně odborných časopisů a různých internetových zdrojů. Součástí teoretické části jsou vedle textu také tabulky a grafy. Hlavním cílem výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit, jak dalece si žáci osvojili poznatky z oblasti obecné biologie a jak je dovedli aplikovat při řešení zadaného didaktického testu. Respondenty byli žáci Střední průmyslové školy chemické Brno, kde působí autorka rigorózní práce od roku 1999 jako učitelka předmětů biologie, seminář z biologie a chemie. Výzkumným nástrojem byl nestandardizovaný didaktický test, který autorka sama sestavila a jenž byl strukturován tak, aby rovnoměrně pokrýval všechno učivo obecné biologie vymezené rámcovými a školními vzdělávacími programy. Celkem bylo vyhodnocováno 303 testů. Úkolem bylo porovnat úspěšnost řešení didaktického testu všemi žáky v rámci školy, jednotlivých oborů, a ročníků, srovnat úspěšnost řešení chlapci a dívkami a zjistit, zda výsledky didaktického testu korelují s klasifikací žáků. Na základě výsledků výzkumného šetření byla ověřena platnost stanovených hypotéz. První hypotéza byla potvrzena, v rámci srovnání jednotlivých oborů dosáhli nejlepších výsledků žáci Přírodovědného lycea a nejhorší úrovně žáci oboru Analýza potravin. Druhá hypotéza byla rovněž potvrzena, v rámci srovnání jednotlivých ročníků dosahují nejlepší úrovně žáci čtvrtých ročníků a nejhorší úrovně žáci druhých ročníků. Třetí hypotéza nebyla výzkumným šetřením potvrzena, neboť při srovnání dívek a chlapců dosáhli lepších výsledků chlapci. Na základě údajů získaných výzkumným šetřením byl dále zpracován návrh učebního textu z obecné biologie, který obsahuje veškeré základní učivo v této oblasti dané rámcovým i školním vzdělávacím programem a zaměřuje se především na oblasti učiva, které byly na základě výsledků šetření stanoveny jako nejvíce problémové.

Abstract:

ANNOTATION The topic of this rigorous thesis is entitled Authentication of the key competences in the field of general biology by means of the didactic test. The theoretical part of the rigorous thesis is summarizing the present state of discussed issues. Specialized literature including journals and various internet sources was analysed. Tables and graphs are the integral section of this part. The main aim of the survey was to find out to what extent did students master general biology findings, and how were they able to apply them when solving the didactic test. The respondents were the students of the Secondary Technical school of Chemistry, Brno. The author of this rigorous thesis has been working there since 1999 as the biology and chemistry teacher. The research tool was non-standardised didactic test. The author compiled and structured the test in order to equally cover general biology curriculum which is defined by the framework education programmes and school educational programmes. In total, 303 tests were evaluated. The task was to compare the success rate of all students who were writing the test in the school within the scope of particular branches, classes and grades. The integral part of the task was also to compare the success rate of solution between boys and girls, and to find out whether the results of the didactic test correlate with the classification of the students. Based on the survey results, the validity of stated hypotheses was confirmed. The first hypothesis was confirmed because the best results were achieved by the students of Technical Lycee, and the worst results were achieved by the students of Food Analysis. The second hypothesis was also confirmed. When comparing the individual years, the best results were achieved by the fourth grade students, and the worst ones by the second grade students. The third hypothesis was not confirmed by the survey research because, when compared with girls, the better results were achieved by boys. Based on the facts obtained by the research survey, there was processed a suggestion of a general biology textbook which contains the entire basic schoolwork in this area given by the framework education programmes and school educational programmes, and focuses primarily on the areas which were determined as the most problematic ones.
