Sexuality of people with mental disabilities from the perspective of key workers

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahy a sexualitou osob s mentálním postižením z pohledu klíčových pracovníků. Cílem práce je prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu získat různé pohledy a přístupy klíčových pracovníků k sexualitě osob s mentálním postižením a zároveň se zaměřit na oblast jejich osobních postojů k sexualitě a na to, jakým způsobem jejich postoje ovlivňují práci s osobami, s nimiž pracují. V první kapitole práce se vymezují obecné pojmy, ve druhé kapitole je definována sexualita osob s mentálním postižením, specifika sexuality těchto osob a sexuální osvěta. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na metodologii. Následující dvě kapitoly se pak zabývají analýzou rozhovorů s klíčovými pracovníky zařízení sociálních služeb a v závěrečné kapitole je shrnutí získaných dat a vyvození závěru.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with relationships and sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities from the perspective of key workers. The aim of the thesis is to obtain, through qualitative research, the different perspectives and attitudes of key workers towards the sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities, whilst also looking at the area of their personal attitudes towards sexuality and how their attitudes affect their work with the people they work with. The first chapter of the thesis defines general terms, while the second chapter defines the sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities, the specifics of the sexuality of these people and sexual education. The third chapter focuses on methodology. The following two chapters then deal with the analysis of interviews with key personnel of social service facilities and the final chapter summarises the data and draws conclusions.
