Homeschooling from the view of parents teaching their children at home

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Domácí vzdělávání očima rodičů vyučujících své děti doma“ pojednává o rodičích, kteří se rozhodli pro alternativní způsob vzdělávání svých dětí. Teoretická část popisuje filozofická východiska alternativních edukačních koncepcí, její součástí je také komparace domácího vzdělávání v Polsku a v České republice, která je zaměřena na legislativní podmínky tohoto způsobu vzdělávání ve zmíněných zemích. Dále zde nechybí pohled společnosti, odborníků a také rodičů vyučujících své děti doma, na tento typ vzdělávání. Teoretická část je zakončená zjištěním poukazujícím na to, že mnoho pedagogických principů a strategii domácího vzdělávání vychází z reformní pedagogiky. Analitycko-interpretační část pak mapuje fenomén domácího vzdělávání. Data byla podrobena interpretativní fenomenologické analýze, a jejich sběr byl proveden prostřednictvím narativních rozhovorů.

Abstract:

The diploma project „Homeschooling from the point of view of parents teaching their children at home „deals with parents who opted for an alternative way of their children education. The theoretical part describes the philosophical foundations of alternative educational concepts, and includes a comparison of home schooling in Poland and in the Czech Republic, which is focused on the legislative terms of this educational method in these countries. In addition, the view of society on this type of education and the view of experts and parents teaching their children at home is included. The theoretical part is finished to discover that many pedagogical principles and strategies based on home education come from the education reform. Furthermore, analytical and interpretative part introduces the domestic education. The data was put to the interpretative phenomenological analysis, and their collection has been performed through narrative interviews.
