History and development of the alternative family care

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o institutu náhradní rodinné péče aplikovaném na území České re-publiky. Její součástí je popsání zákonného ukotvení v našem právním řádu. Rozebírá his-torii a vývoj náhradní rodinné péče v České republice od století sedmnáctého do dnešních dnů. Zároveň hledá a popisuje odlišnosti v systému náhradní rodinné péče v totalitním zří-zení a v zavedené demokracii. Obsahuje rozhovory s náhradními rodiči, zmiňuje jejich pohnutky, které vedly k rozhodnutí změnit si život od základů.

Abstract:

This bachelor?s thesis deals with the institute of substitute family care, applied in the Czech Republic. A part of it is also the description of how it is legally embedded in the Czech body of laws. It analyses the history and development of substitute family care in the Czech Republic from the 17th century until the present day. At the same time, it compares the sys-tem of substitute family care in the totalitarian system and in the newly established democ-racy. It comprises interviews with foster parents and mentions their motives which led them to the decision to change their lives fundamentally.
