Possibilities of Using Occupational Therapy in an Integrated Center for People with Disabilities

Abstract:

Abstrakt Úvod: Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem možnosti využití ergoterapie v Integrovaném centru pro osoby se zdravotním postižením, konkrétněji se jedná o domov pro osoby se zdravotním postižením. Práce je zaměřená na diagnózu mozková obrna, a to v dospělém věku. Cíl práce: Cílem mé bakalářské práce je přispět k řešení problematiky ergoterapie u dospělého klienta s mozkovou obrnou a poukázat na možnosti ergoterapie v Integrovaném centru pro osoby se zdravotním postižením. Metodika: Přehled teoretických poznatků se zaměřuje na diagnózu mozková obrna a její příčiny, příznaky, možnosti léčby a rehabilitace. Dále se čtenář může seznámit s pojmem Integrované centrum a službami, které nabízí. V hlavní části mé práce je představena kazuistika, která zahrnuje vstupní ergoterapeutické hodnocení, stanovení krátkodobého ergoterapeutického plánu a cílů, průběh intervencí, výstupní ergoterapeutické hodnocení, stanovení dlouhodobého ergoterapeutického plánu a cílů a shrnutí práce s klientkou. Kazuistika byla provedena na základě rozhovoru s klíčovým pracovníkem, pozorování, testování a analýzy dokumentace klientky. Výsledky: Hodnocení vstupních a výstupních výsledků ergoterapeutické intervence. Na základě výsledků krátkodobého ergoterapeutické plánu byl stanoven dlouhodobý ergoterapeutický plán. Závěr: Zhodnocení dosažených stanovených cílů a úkolů. Představení možností ergoterapie u klientky s mozkovou obrnou. Doporučení pro praxi, které vychází z vlastních zkušeností.

Abstract Introduction: This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the possibility of using occupational therapy in an Integrated centre for people with disabilities, more specifically in a home for people with disabilities. The thesis focuses on the diagnosis of cerebral palsy, in an adult setting. Aim of the thesis: The aim of my bachelor thesis is to contribute to solving the problem of occupational therapy in an adult client with cerebral palsy and to point out the possibilities of occupational therapy in the Integrated centre for persons with disabilities. Methods: A review of theoretical knowledge focuses on the diagnosis of cerebral palsy and its causes, symptoms, treatment and rehabilitation options. In addition, the reader can learn about the concept of an Integrated centre and the services it offers. The main part of my thesis present a case study that includes an initial occupational therapy assessment, the establishment of a short-term occupational therapy plan and goals, the course of interventions, an exit occupational therapy assessment, the establishment of a long-term occupational therapy plan ang goals, and summary of my work with the client. The case study was based on key worker interview, observation, testing and analysis of client documentation. Results: Evaluation of input and output outcomes of occupational therapy intervention. Based on the results of the short-term occupational therapy plan, a long-term occupational therapy plan was determined Conclusion: Evaluation of the achievement of the set goals and objectives. Presentation of the possibilities of occupational therapy for a client with cerebral palsy. Recommendations for practice based on own experience.
