The strategic analysis of Golden Gate Plc.

Abstract:

Cílem práce je posouzení dosavadní strategie firmy Golden Gate CZ a.s. a provedení finanční analýzy, jejímž východiskem je tzv. vertikální a horizontální rozbor, stejně jako pochopení efektivnosti použití cizích zdrojů a vlastního kapitálu. Pomocí různých nástrojů práce srovnává největší firmy pohybující se v daném odvětví a posuzuje konkurenceschopnost vybraných společností. Zaměřuje se také na zhodnocení vnitřních zdrojů společnosti a na analýzu vnějšího okolí podniku prostřednictvím PESTEL analýzy, přičemž zkoumá vliv a význam jednotlivých faktorů a zjišťuje silné a slabé stránky. Zjišťuje, jaké faktory představují pro firmu příležitosti, a které naopak hrozby. Součástí práce je také dotazníkové šetření provedené za účelem pochopení vztahů českých obyvatel ke zhodnocování svých peněz formou investování do drahých kovů.

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis is to assess the current strategy of Golden Gate CZ Plc., and to conduct a financial analysis based on the so-called vertical and horizontal analyses, as well as to understand the effectiveness of the use of external resources and equity. Using various tools, I compare the most prominent companies operating in the given field are then assess the competitiveness of selected companies. I focus also on the evaluation of the company’s internal resources as well as on the analysis of the external environment of the company through PESTEL analysis, while examining the impact and significance of these factors and identifying its strengths and weaknesses. The thesis includes a questionnaire survey, conducted in order to understand the relationship of the Czech population to the appreciation of their money by investing in precious metals.
