Linguistically gifted learners in German lessons

Abstract:

This thesis covers the topic of linguistically gifted learners in German language education. German is meant as a foreign language. Although giftedness and especially its promotion has been a much talked about topic in recent years, it is not yet well researched and understood. This is even more true for linguistic giftedness. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part both giftedness in general and linguistic giftedness in particular are treated. The possibilities of identification and diagnostic are outlined and methods of working with gifted pupils are presented. The empirical part is based on the analysis of six interviews, with the aim of charting how the work with linguistically gifted pupils in German language teaching is carried out and what the possibilities of support are. The thesis then concludes by presenting some of the organisations that work with the gifted and to which pupils, parents or teachers can turn.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o tématu jazykově nadaných žáků ve výuce německého jazyka. Německý jazyk je zde brán jako jazyk cizí. Přestože je nadání a především jeho podpora v posledních letech velmi skloňované téma, není zatím dobře prozkoumané a pochopené. Specificky pro nadání jazykové to platí ještě o to víc. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. V teoretické je zpracováno jak nadání obecně, tak především konkrétně nadání jazykové. Jsou zde nastíněny možnosti identifikace a diagnostiky a také představeny metody, jak s nadanými žáky pracovat. Praktická část je postavena na analýze šesti rozhovorů, přičemž cílem je zmapovat, jak probíhá práce s jazykově nadanými žáky ve výuce německého jazyka a jaké jsou možnosti podpory. V závěru práce jsou pak představeny některé organizace, které se nadaným věnují a na které se mohou žáci, rodiče či učitelé obrátit.
