Green Tourism - The Persuasive Strategies In Advertising Environmentally Friendly Holiday

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis presents the results of an analysis of green tourism advertisements. The focus was principally on persuasive strategies. The articles for the corpus were collected predominantly from the online versions of British newspapers. The aim of the thesis is to identify the features that influence the behaviour of a potential customer and describe them. The research results include particularly those persuasive elements which appeared regularly throughout the corpus, with a high frequency. Green tourism principles are also taken into account as they influence the choice of vocabulary in the adverts to a great extent.

Tato bakalářská práce představuje výsledky analýzy reklam na zelené cestování. Důraz byl kladen především na přesvědčovací metody. Korpus byl shromážděn z několika internetových článků, zejména z online verzí britských novin. Cílem této práce je identifikovat prvky, které ovlivňují chování potencionálních zákazníků, a popsat je. Analýze byly podrobeny zvláště ty prvky přesvědčovacích strategií, které se v korpusu vyskytovaly pravidelně, s vysokou frekvencí. V potaz byly brány i principy zeleného cestování, protože do značné míry ovlivňují volbu slovní zásoby v reklamách.
