The use of ergonomic elements in working with mobile devices at secondary schools in the Pilsen Region from the perspective of an occupational therapist

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím ergonomických prvků při používání mobilního zařízení na středních školách v Plzeňském kraji z pohledu ergoterapeuta. V teoretické části je vysvětlen pojem ergonomie, jeho aspekty a prvky v návaznosti na blíže popsanou anatomii lidské ruky, paže a krční páteře v souvislosti s konkrétními pozicemi, v nichž dochází k namáhání uvedených částí muskuloskeletálního systému jedince při činnostech spojených s užíváním mobilního zařízení. V praktické části jsou popsány cíl, úkoly a metodika s popisem práce, spolu s výsledky dotazníkového šetření, cílené-ho na žáky středních škol v Plzeňském kraji. V závěru práce jsou zhodnoceny a okomentovány dosažené výsledky, poukazující na zdravotní rizika vyplývající z používání mobilního zařízení. S cílem preventivně řešit možné nežádoucí zdravotní následky je v teoretické části zmíněno doporučení na ergonomicky vhodnou pracovní pozici těla, a z toho vyplývající ergonomické prvky umožňující dosahovat a zachovat ergonomicky vhodnou pozici v průběhu používání mobilního zařízení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of ergonomic elements in the use of mobile devices in secondary schools in the Pilsen region from the perspective of an occupational therapist. In the theoretical part, the concept of ergonomics, its aspects and elements are explained in relation to the anatomy of the human hand, arm and cervical spine in connection with specific positions in which the above mentioned parts of the musculoskeletal system of an individual are stressed during activities related to the use of mobile devices. The practical part describes the aim, objectives and methodology of the work, together with the results of a questionnaire survey aimed at secondary school students in the Pilsen region. In the conclusion of the thesis, the results are evaluated and commented, pointing out the health risks resulting from the use of mobile devices. In order to prevent possible adverse health consequences, the theoretical part of the paper includes recommendations for ergonomically suitable working position of the body and the resulting ergonomic elements enabling to achieve and maintain an ergonomically suitable position during the use of a mobile device.
