The public administration in the Czech lands in the years 1938-1945

Abstract:

Po podpisu Mnichovské dohody v září 1938 ztratilo Československo své pohraniční oblasti zvané Sudety. V březnu 1939 byl zbytek Českých zemí obsazen německou armádou a zřízen Protektorát Čechy a Morava. Nacistická okupace, která trvala dlouhých šest let, patří k nejhorším obdobím našich dějin. Cílem této práce je ukázat, že se protektorátní prezident a vláda s okupací naší země nesmířili a s výjimkou malého množství kolaborantů v čele s Emanuelem Moravcem dělali pouze to, k čemu byli Němci donuceni.

Abstract:

After the signature of the Munich agreement in September 1938 the Czechoslovakia lost its border regions known as Sudetenland. In March 1939 the rest of the Czech lands was occupied by the German army and the Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia was established. Nazi occupation which lasted for six long years was one of the worst periods of our history. The aim of this work is to show that the Protectorate president and government did not become reconciled with the occupation of our land and with the exception of Emanuel Moravec and a few others collaborators did only what they were forced to do.
