Energy Security of USA

Abstract:

The focus of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of energy security of the most powerful country in the world, the United States. The first part is dedicated to theoretical definition of the phenomenon energy security and its perception by various authors, supplemented with the development of the energy policy of USA within the second half of the 20th century, application of principles of D. Yergin on USA. The second part is focused on the description of the world market with the most important raw materials, oil, natural gas and coal. The last part of this thesis represents application of the concept energy security on the current world power, United States of America itself.

Abstract:

Predmetom tejto bakalárskej práce je analýza energetickej bezpečnosti najmocnejšej krajiny sveta, Spojených štátov amerických. Prvá časť je venovaná teoretickému vymedzeniu fenoménu energetickej bezpečnosti a jeho vnímania rôznymi autormi, doplnená vývojom energetickej politiky USA počas druhej polovice 20. storočia, aplikácie princípov D. Yergina na USA. Druhá časť sa zameriava na popis svetového trhu s najdôležitejšími nerastnými surovinami, ropou, zemným plynom a uhlím. Posledná časť tejto práce predstavuje samotnú aplikáciu konceptu energetickej bezpečnosti na súčasnú svetovú veľmoc, Spojené štáty americké.
