Quality comparison of the care of seniors in the private and public sector of residential services

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním kvality života seniorů pobytové služby ve státním sektoru a nestátním, pro který jsem si vybrala tzv. nestátní neziskovou organizaci. Jejím cílem je zjistit, v jaké míře je senior spokojen se službou vzhledem na formu poskytovatele. Dílčím cílem je porovnat, zda poskytovaná služba odpovídá pevně stanoveným SQ, tedy kvalitě péče o klienta. Teoretická část práce se věnuje tématu stáří a stárnutí, potřebám seniorů, legislativnímu zastoupení a samostatnému pojetí kvality života seniorů. V praktické části jsou blíže popsány pobytová zařízení Domov pro seniory Zahradní Město a Domov pro seniory Sue Ryder a nabídka služeb, které se poskytují. Dotazníkové šetření předložené 50 klientům obsahuje otázky ohledně vybavenosti domova (samostatného pokoje, společenských prostor), poskytovaných služeb a zajištění péče (formou denního charakteru - strava, úklid, péče při zajištění hygieny, o osobní prádlo, aktivizace seniorů). Text je možno využít jako pomůcku ke zkvalitnění péče o seniory v Domovech.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the quality of life of seniors' residential services in the state sector and the non-state for which I chose the so-called non-governmental non-profit organization. Its aim is to find out to what extent the senior is satisfied with the service given the form of the provider. The partial objective is to compare whether the service provided corresponds to a fixed SQ, ie the quality of client care. The theoretical part deals with the topic of old age and aging, needs of seniors, legislative representation and independent conception of quality of life of seniors. The practical part describes the residential facilities of the Home for the Elderly Zahradní Město and the Home for Seniors Sue Ryder and offers services that are provided. The questionnaire survey submitted to 50 clients contains questions about the furnishings of the home (separate room, social areas), provided services and care (in the form of daily nature - food, cleaning, care in providing hygiene, personal laundry, activation of seniors). The text can be used as a tool to improve the quality of care for the elderly in Homes.
