The Burnout Syndrome among Workers in Retirement Homes

Abstract:

Diplomová práce obsahuje teoretické poznatky vztahující se k problematice syndromu vyhoření u pracovníků v domovech pro seniory. Empirickou část práce tvoří kvantitativní výzkumná metoda, tato část také popisuje postupy při realizaci výzkumu a výsledky získané z analýzy dat. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je zjistit do jaké míry jsou pracovníci ohroženi syndromem vyhoření. Dále se práce zaměřuje na to, zda existuje vztah mezi syndromem vyhořením a vnímanou kvalitou supervize, životným stylem a dalšími demografickými a pracovními aspekty.

Abstract:

This thesis contains theoretical knowledge concerning the problematics of the burnout syndrome affecting workers in retirement homes. The empirical part of the thesis includes a quantitative research method, as well as it describes the processes that go into the research realisation and the results acquired in data analysis. The main goal of the thesis is to determine the extent to which are the retirement home workers susceptible to the burnout syndrome. Furthemore, the thesis focuses to clarify, whether there is a correlation between the burnout syndrome and the perceived quality of supervision, lifestyle and other demographical aspect of the profession.
