An Accounting Conversion Project of Czech Financial Statements of Slovacke strojirny, a. s. to the Financial Statements in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je převod účetní závěrky společnosti Slovácké strojírny, a. s. sestavené podle české účetní legislativy na účetní závěrku sestavenou podle standardů mezinárodního účetnictví. Teoretická část práce se zabývá mezinárodní harmonizací účetnictví, charakteristikou účetní závěrky podle české legislativy a účetní závěrkou podle IFRS, procesem převodu a základem finanční analýzy. Praktická část obsahuje představení společnosti a provedenou analýzu položek účetních výkazů. V projektové části jsou identifikovány položky, které budou upraveny na IFRS. Následně je sestavena účetní závěrka podle IFRS. Závěr práce obsahuje porovnání finančních ukazatelů a zhodnocení přínosů a rizik souvisejících s převodem.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the conversion of Financial Statements of the company Slovacke strojirny, a. s. which are compiled in accordance both with Czech Accounting Legislation and International Financial Accounting Standards. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on the international harmonization of Accounting Standards as well as on the characteristics of Financial Statements that are compiled according to Czech legislation and IFRS. Also, the theoretical part covers the process of conversion and basics of Financial Analysis. The practical part of the thesis deals with the basic information about the company Slovácké strojirny, a. s. and an analysis of selected items of Financial Statements of the company. In the project part of the thesis are these selected items of Financial Statements and Financial Statements itself converted to International Financial Reporting Standards. The aim of the thesis is a comparation of Financial Identificators and evaluation of potential risks and benefits of such conversion.
