Aspects of teacher assistant position in terms of teaching assistants and other educational staff

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vnímáním aspektů, jenž provázejí a ovlivňují pozici asistenta pedagoga na prvním stupni běžné základní školy. Cílem diplomové práce bylo zachytit esenci prožité zkušenosti asistentů pedagoga, metodika podpory týmu asistentů, třídního učitele a ředitele školy. Teoretická část popisuje profesi asistenta pedagoga, fungování asistenta pedagoga na pracovišti a význam asistenta pedagoga při inkluzivním vzdělávání, což rozebírají jednotlivé podkapitoly. Výzkumná část diplomové práce byla provedena metodou interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy, pomocí které byla identifikována hlavní společná témata. Ta se zaobírají průběhem příjímacího pohovoru na pozici asistenta pedagoga, jeho uvedením do zaměstnání, náplní práce, finančním ohodnocením při zkráceném úvazku, komunikačně technologickým a pracovním zázemím. Zároveň reflektují psychickou náročnost profese, spolupráci s třídním učitelem a ženský kolektiv. V interpretaci výzkumu se tato témata snoubí s analýzami jedinečných zkušeností respondentů, beroucí ohled na jejich individualitu. Výzkumná část neopomíjí aplikační výstupy vzešlé z výzkumu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the perception of aspects that accompany and influence the position of a teaching assistant at the first stage of a regular primary school. The aim of the diploma thesis was to capture the principle of the acquired experience of teaching assistants, the methodology of supporting a team of assistants, class teacher and school principal. The theoretical part describes the profession of teaching assistant, the functioning of teaching assistant in the workplace and the importance of teaching assistant in inclusive education, which is discussed in the individual subchapters. The research part of the diploma thesis was performed by the method of interpretive phenomenological analysis, which was used to identify the main common topics. They deal with the course of a job interview for the position of teaching assistant, his employment, job description, part-time financial evaluation, communication technology and work background. At the same time, they reflect the psychological demands of the profession, cooperation with the class teacher and a female team. In the interpretation of the research, these topics are combined with analyses of the unique experiences of the respondents, taking into account their individuality. The research part does not neglect the application outputs arising from the research.
