Work motivation of employees in production company

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zjistit ve firmě Mahr, spol. s r. o. zda míra pracovní motivace u liniových zaměstnanců souvisí s pracovní spokojeností a zda je rozdílná mezi skupinami pracovníků. Dále budou zjišťovány i faktory, které ovlivňují spokojenost zaměstnanců. Do výběrového souboru bylo zahrnuto 90 dělníků a pro zjištění dat byla využita metoda dotazníkového šetření. Míra motivace byla počítána pomocí Vroomova vzorce a dále analyzována u ukrajinských a českých respondentů zvlášť. Celková míra motivace dělníků je 69,2 %. Pomocí korelační analýzy bylo zjištěno, že míra pracovní motivace mírně koreluje s pracovní spokojeností a není rozdílná mezi skupinami dělníků (mechaniky a obráběči kovů). Velkým přínosem práce je zjištění demotivátorů, které negativně ovlivňují míru motivace. Mezi tyto demotivátory patří nabídka dalších benefitů, sjednaná výše mzdy, jistota zaměstnání, spravedlivé jednání nadřízeného s podřízeným a chování nadřízeného s podřízeným. Míra pracovní spokojenosti je 68 %. Mezi faktory, které nejvíce ovlivňují spokojenost patří nabídka dalších benefitů, pevná pracovní doba bez přesčasů, jistota zaměstnání, komunikace s nadřízeným, chování nadřízeného k podřízenému a spravedlivé jednání nadřízeného s podřízeným. Firmě byly poskytnuty doporučení a kroky, které by měly vést ke zlepšení jak motivace, tak i spokojenosti zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

The aim of the work is to find out in the production company Mahr, spol. s r. o., whether the level of work motivation for line workers is related to job satisfaction and whether it is different between groups of workers. Factors that affect employee satisfaction will also be examined. 90 workers were included in the sample and the questionnaire survey method was used to establish the data. The level of motivation was calculated using the Vroom formula and further analysed for Ukrainian and Czech respondents separately. The total degree of motivation for workers is 69,2 %. Using a correlation analysis, it was found that the rate of work motivation slightly correlates with work satisfaction and is not different between groups of workers (mechanics and metal working workers). A great contribution to the work is the detection of demotivators, which negatively affect the degree of motivation. These demotivators include: the offer of other benefits, the agreed amount of wages, job security, the fair dealing of the supervisor with the subordinate, and the behavior of the supervisor with the subordinate. The job satisfaction rate is 68 %. Factors that most affect satisfaction include offer of the other benefits, fixed hours without overtime, job security, communication with a supervisor, the fair dealing of the supervisor with the subordinate, and the behavior of the supervisor with the subordinate. Recommendations and steps were provided to the company, which should lead to improvements in motivation and employees satisfaction.
