Financial analyses of pension company Penzijní společnost České pojišťovny, joint-stock company

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci s názvem tématu „Finanční analýza Penzijní společnosti České pojišťovny a.s.“ se budeme zabývat finanční situací společnosti v letech 2013 – 2017. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, ve kterých jsou nejprve řečeny obecné informace a poté se věnuje samotné finanční analýze. První metodická část obsahuje teorii finanční analýzy, k čemu se využívá a jaký je její význam. Teoreticky si rozebereme techniky, metody a ukazatele, které jsou dále v práci používány. Pro zhodnocení situace společnosti používáme horizontální a vertikální analýzu, dále pak poměrové ukazatele a komplexní modely. Konkrétněji se jedná o poměrové ukazatele rentability, likvidity a zadluženosti. Jako komplexní model je využit bonitní model, konkrétně Kralicekuv test. Následně vymezíme konkurenci, se kterou podnik později srovnáváme pomocí zmíněných ukazatelů a sledujeme jeho postavení na trhu. Druhá část je praktická, zahrnuje představení podniku a samotnou finanční analýzu. Společnost analyzujeme metodikou, která je uvedena v teoretické části. Pomocí výsledků finanční analýzy shrneme postavení podniku na trhu konkurence. Odhalí nám slabé stránky společnosti a nedostatky v jejím hospodaření, pro jejichž redukci nebo úplné odstranění učiníme doporučení a navrhneme, jak tyto nedostatky zlepšit pro příští léta fungování společnosti.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s dissertation, called “Financial analyses of pension company Penzijní společnost České pojišťovny, joint-stock company”, will focus on financial situation of the company in years 2013 to 2017. The dissertation will be divided into two parts, at first, the focus will be placed on general information, and later on the financial analysis as such. The first, methodical part, will consist of the theory relevant for the financial analysis: what is financial analysis used for, its importance. It will present techniques, methods and indicators which will be used in the work later. To assess the company’s situation, horizontal and vertical analysis will be used, and so will be ration indicators and complex models. Concretely, the focus will be placed on ratio indicators of the rate of return, liquidity and debt. As a complex model, the bankrupt-prediction model Kralicek test will be used. Later, the competition, which the company will at the end of the work be compared to, will be delimited. To pursue the comparison, the above-mentioned tools will be used, and apart from this, attention will be paid to the position of the company amongst the competition. The second part of the dissertation will be a practical one. It will consist of introduction of the company and of the financial analysis. The company will be analysed using methods examined in the theoretical part of the dissertation. Based on the results of the financial analysis, the position of the company amongst the competition will be defined. Apart from this, the financial analysis will help to discover weaknesses of the company and shortcomings in its economic activities. To diminish or completely remove them, a suggestion of how these flaws could be improved for the future economic activities of the company will be made.
