Film Tourism in EU and the influence of a Film on Destination Image

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská prace se zabývá otázkou filmového turismu jako relativně nového a rozvijícího produktu. Hlavní cíle této práce bylo prezentovat nový typ turismu, prozkoumat povědomí veřejnosti o něm a také ocenit současné nejvýznamnější filmové destinace v Evropské Unii. Dále se v detailech popisuji audiovizuální práce diky kterým státy se staly filmovými destinacemi. První čast práce se soustředí na torii a zabývá se obecným popisem Evropské Unie a její dějnami, a také pojmem turismu pomoci různých definicí. Dále se popisuje filmový turismus. V teto časti jde o nejvíc prospěšných a drahých filmech, které ovlivňuji image destinace a zároveň i destination placement. Jednou s hlavních metod, které byly použité v práci je secundární analýza na základě zkoumání literatury. Praktická čáast je vzpracovaná na základě prezentace několika zemí které jsou známé svým vyvinutým filmovým turismem a také na základě online dotazniku který se zabývá otázkou zda se lidé zajímají o filmový turismus, protože jsou potenciálními zákazníky turistických agentur které mohou přidat filmové destinace do seznamu svých nabídek. Výsledky průzkumu ukazují že respondenty mají velký zájem o filmový turismus i když je to pro ně zcela nový koncept. A to může být dobrým nápadem pro turistické agentury které chtějí vypracovat nové nabídky a balíky. Poslední částí práce jsou doporučení pro turistické agentury v určitých zemích o které je zájem (podle výsledků dotazníku) s důrazem na Českou Republiku. Také je zformulovaná nabídka jak může vypadat filmový zájezd.

Abstract:

The Bachelor’s thesis purpose was to analyze film tourism as a relatively new developing product. The main goal was to present the new touristic scope and explore public awareness on this subject and to evaluate the current largest film powers inside the European Union. Then in more detail describe the specific audiovisual works which provided the film-power status to this states. The first part of the thesis concentrates on the theory and covers the overall description of European Union and its history and also the concept of tourism, providing needed definitions. Then follows the explanation of film tourism idea. Within it is also defined the most profitable and expensive movies as type of influence on destination image and then idea of destination placement. Among the main methods that are used in work - is secondary analysis, which is based on a study of documents. The practical part is based on presenting several countries, which are known for their developed film tourism and the questionnaire, which shows whether people are interested in the film tourism, because they are the potential customers for the travel agencies, which can include such offer into their services. The results of the survey show that individuals really have an interest in film tourism sphere, though it is relatively new concept for them. And it can be a good purpose for creating new packages and offers from travel agencies. In the last part of the thesis are recommendations for travel agencies in specific countries, for which according to the results of questionnaire is demand. More attention is paid to the Czech Republic. Here I suggest how the film tour can look like.
