Financial and strategic analysis of GEOSAN GROUP a.s.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá finanční analýzou stavební společnosti GEOSAN GROUP a. s. za kalendářní roky 2013 až 2017 a následnou strategickou analýzou. Nejprve je provedeno teoretické vymezení zdrojů, uživatelů a metod používaných ve finanční analýze. Dále jsou popsány vybrané bankrotní a bonitní modely a poslední teoretická část je zaměřena na strategickou analýzu, kde jsou popsány metody pro analýzu makroekonomických a mikroekonomických faktorů, analýza interních zdrojů a schopností podniku a SWOT analýza. Tento teoretický základ je následně použit v praktické části, kde je nejprve provedena horizontální a vertikální analýza účetních výkazů, následně jsou vypočteny vybrané ukazatele finanční analýzy a bankrotní a bonitní modely, jejichž výsledky jsou porovnány s konkurenčními společnostmi. Dále je provedená strategická analýza a na závěr je provedena SWOT analýza shrnující všechny získané poznatky.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the financial analysis of the construction company GEOSAN GROUP a.s. for the calendar years 2013 to 2017 and the subsequent strategic analysis. First, the theoretical definition of resources, users and methods used in financial analysis are perform. Furthermore, selected bankruptcy and creditworthiness models are described and the last theoretical part is focused on strategic analysis, which describes methods for analysis of macroeconomic and microeconomic factors, analysis of internal resources and abilities of the company and SWOT analysis. This theoretical basis is then used in the practical part, where the horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements is first performed, then selected indicators of financial analysis and bankruptcy and creditworthiness models are calculated and their results are compared with the competition. Furthermore, a strategic analysis is carried out and at the enda SWOT analysis summarizing all acquired knowledge is performed.
