Possibilities of Active Participation of Students with SLD in Learning English Language

Abstract:

Tato magisterská práce se zabývá novými možnostmi zlepšení přístupu studentů k učení se cizímu jazyku a jak překonat pasivitu studentů, zvláště s využitím informačních technologií a aktivní odpovědnosti za vlastní stadium, s ohledem na potíže způsobované specifickými poruchami učení, jako například dyslexie nebo dysgrafie. Účelem této práce je stanovení možných způsobů aktivní účasti studentů na procesu osvojování si cizího jazyka a začlenění různých nástrojů výpočetní techniky do procesu učení. Poskytuje informace o proběhlém výzkumu týkajícího se zlepšování se a motivace studentů, s přihlédnutím na speciální vzdělávací potřeby. Dotazníky jsou sestavovány se zaměřením na process učení ovlivněný SPU. Zařazením nových postupů se očekává zlepšení sebevědomí studentů, zodpovědného a aktivního přístupu k učení, zlepšení dovedností a úspěšné překonávání různých fyzických i kognitivních potíží souvisejících s poruchami učení.

Abstract:

This master’s thesis deals with the new possibilities how to improve learners´ approach to studying a foreign language and how to overcome learners´ passivity, especially through technology and active, shared responsibility, with regards to their special learning disabilities such as dyslexia, or dysgraphia. The purpose of the thesis is to determine the possible ways of learners´ active participation on the process of acquiring the foreign language and the incorporation of various ICT tools into the learning. It provides material for action research concerning the learners´ progress and motivation, with regard to the area of special educational needs. The questionnaires used are focused on aspects of the learning process influenced by SLD. The implemented innovation changes are believed to increase learners´ self-confidence, autonomy and active approach to learning the foreign language in order to improve learners´ performance and to help learners to overcome a number of physical and cognitive learning difficulties.
