Perception of the contemporary family in the perspective of different generations

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Percepce současné rodiny v pohledu různých generací se zabývá problematikou vnímání pojmu rodina a její proměnou v historickém kontextu a vývoji. Práce je rozdělená na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se věnuje rodině, aktuálním demografickým údajům, jako je počet a věkové složení obyvatelstva, sňatečnost, rozvodovost a porodnost. Dále se zabývá postavením rodiny ve společnosti. Praktická část je zaměřena na dotazníkové šetření, které zkoumá, jak dnešní společnost vnímá rodinu. Hlavním cílem je zjistit a zároveň poukázat na změny percepce současné rodiny v pohledu různých generací, které dělíme podle věku a rodinných rolí dotazovaných respondentů (studenti, rodiče, prarodiče).

Abstract:

The master thesis named Perception of contemporary family in viewpoints of various generations deals with the perception of the notion family and its transformation in the context of history and evolution. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part depicts family, current demographic data such as the total of population, age structure, marriage rate, divorce rate and birth rate. It also outlines the status of family in the society. The practical part is based on a series of questionnaires which should indicate how the notion of family is perceived by the society of today. The aim is to find out and highlight the changes in the perception of contemporary family in various generations' viewpoints. The respondents are classified according to their age and family roles (students, parents, grandparents).
