Workload of social workers in the selected residential facility for seniors

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se zaměřuji na pracovní zátěž sociálních pracovníků. Cílem práce je zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Jaké jsou postoje sociálních pracovníků vůči pracovní zátěži ve vybraném pobytovém zařízení pro seniory? Práce je rozčleněna do sedmi kapitol. Teoretickou část práce tvoří kapitoly 1 – 4, kde konceptualizuji stěžejní pojmy, z nichž nejdůležitějšími jsou sociální pracovníci pracující v domově pro seniory, pracovní zátěž a postoje. Kapitola 5 obsahuje metodologii výzkumu, kde volím kvalitativní výzkumnou strategii, kterou uskutečňuji technikou polostrukturovaného interview, jež doplňuji o sekundární techniku analýzu dokumentů. Následuje kapitola 6, kde analyzuji data pomocí otevřeného kódování a následně interpretuji výzkumná zjištění z mnou zvolených tří dílčích výzkumných otázek. Součástí této kapitoly je také podkapitola s vlastními tématy respondentek výzkumu. Závěr práce předkládá výsledky ze zjištěných postojů sociálních pracovnic vůči pracovní zátěži a upozorňuje na aplikační potenciál těchto výsledků pro další výzkum.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis I focus on the workload of social workers. The aim of the thesis is to answer the main research question: What are the attitudes of social workers towards the work load in the selected residential facility for the elderly? The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of chapters 1-4, where I conceptualize key concepts, the most important of which are social workers working in the home for the elderly, workload and attitudes. Chapter 5 contains a research methodology, where I choose a qualitative research strategy that I implement with a semi-structured interview technique that complements the secondary document analysis technique. Chapter 6, where I analyze the data using open coding, and then interpret the research findings from the three selected partial research questions. Part of this chapter is also a subchapter with own topics of respondents to the research. The conclusion of the thesis presents the results of the established attitudes of social workers towards workload and draws attention to the application potential of these results for further research.
