Abstract:
Velké množství hydrofobních organických polutantů se nahromadilo v sedimentech, obzvláště v blízkosti bývalých bodových zdrojů. Při poklesu emisí perzistentních organických znečišťujících látek z primárních zdrojů se kontaminovaný sediment může stát hlavním zdrojem kontaminantů pro vodní prostředí. Large amounts of hydrophobic organic pollutants have accumulated in sediments, especially close to former point sources. When the emissions of persistent organic pollutants from primary sources decrease, the contaminated sediment can become the main source of contaminants to the aquatic environment.
