This thesis deals with partner towns Telč (CZ) and Waidhofen an der Thaya (AT). It shortly outlines its historical development in the 20th century. The criterion is here the economic expansion, activities of clubs, the population growth rates and its following comparison in both towns. The mutual cooperation of both towns is also described here. Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o partnerských městech Telči (CZ) a Waidhofenu nad Dyjí (AT). Stručně načrtává jejich dějinný vývoj ve 20. století. Kritériem je zde hospodářský rozvoj, činnost obyvatel v zájmových spolcích, vývoj počtu obyvatel a následné porovnání těchto parametrů v obou městech.
