The current state of teaching health physical education at the 1st level of primary schools in the Ústí nad Labem region

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit aktuální stav výuky zdravotní tělesné výchovy na 1. stupni základních škol v Ústeckém kraji. Tímto tématem se již v období 2003 - 2005 zabýval doc. PhDr. Pavel Strnad, CSc., který provedl celostátní výzkumné šetření pod názvem Systematické monitorování stavu zdravotně oslabených žáků a studentů ve školní zdravotní tělovýchově a návrhy na její zlepšení ve vzdělávacím systému České republiky. Pro zjištění aktuálního stavu výuky zdravotní tělesné výchovy byl použit standardizovaný dotazník z již výše zmíněného celostátního šetření. Některé otázky byly na základě doporučení vedoucího modifikovány. Dotazník byl určen pro všechny učitele, kteří vyučují na 1. stupni základních škol v Ústeckém kraji. Celkem bylo osloveno 278 základních škol. Ze všech oslovených škol bylo vyplněno 147 dotazníků, což je 53 %. Z výsledků výzkumného šetření bylo zjištěno, že aktuální stav výuky zdravotní tělesné výchovy není zcela příznivý. Většina dotazovaných učitelů uvedla, že výuka zdravotní tělesné výchovy na jejich škole není realizována. Dále bylo zjištěno, že na většině škol není daný předmět zařazen do Školního vzdělávacího programu a jejímu znovuzavedení do škol chybí dostatek financí a zejména kvalifikovaní učitelé. Tato zjištěná fakta tak celou nepříznivou situaci podtrhují. Výsledky diplomové práci mohou být přínosné pro zvýšení povědomí o aktuálním stavu výuky zdravotní tělesné výchovy na základních školách, což může poskytnout důležité informace o (ne)připravenosti učitelů na výuku žáků s různými zdravotními oslabeními a možnostech jejich začlenění do výuky tělesné výchovy jako takové. Návrhem na zlepšení situace by mohla být tvorba multimediálního materiálu, který by v dnešní době chytrých technologií a virtuálního světa mohl být k dispozici nejen učitelům při výuce, ale i dětem doma. Mohl by obsahovat cviky zaměřené na různá oslabení, doporučení a zábavnou formou, jak zlepšit svůj životní styl informacemi, na které v hodinách již není prostor a čas.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to determine the current state of teaching health physical education in the Ústí nad Labem region. This topic was already dealt with in the period 2003 - 2005 by doc. Pavel Strnad, PhDr., CSc., who conducted a nationwide research investigation under the title Systematic monitoring of the condition of health-impaired pupils and students in school health physical education and proposals for its improvement in the educational system of the Czech Republic. A standardized questionnaire from the before mentioned national survey was used to determine the current state of health physical education teaching. Some questions were modified based on the recommendations of my supervisor. The questionnaire was administered to all teachers who teach at the first level of primary schools in the Ústí nad Labem region. A total of 278 primary schools were contacted. Of all the schools contacted, 147 questionnaires were completed, which is 53 %. From the results of the survey, it was found that the current state of teaching health physical education is not entirely favourable. Most of the teachers interviewed stated that health physical education teaching is not implemented in their school. Furthermore, it was found that in most schools the subject is not included in the School Curriculum, and its reintroduction in schools lacks sufficient funding and especially qualified teachers. These findings underline the unfavourable situation. The results of the thesis can be beneficial for raising awareness of the current state of teaching health physical education in primary schools, which can provide important information about the (un)readiness of teachers to teach pupils with various health impairments and the possibilities of their inclusion in physical education teaching as such. The suggestion for improvement could be the creation of multimedia material which, currently in an era of smart technologies and virtual world, could be available not only to teachers during lessons but also to children at home. It could include exercises aimed at different weaknesses, recommendations and a fun way to improve a lifestyle with information for that you no longer have space and time for in the classroom.
