Preparing to enter into life after leaving the orphanage

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá jedním z mnoha závažných problémů mladých lidí odcházejících z dětského domova. Hlavní výzkumná otázka zní: Jsou děti dostatečně připravovány na odchod z dětského domova? V úvodu práce předkládám důvody pro volbu tohoto tématu. Práce je rozdělena na tři části. V první části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy, jako je rodina, náhradní rodinná péče a další. Ve druhé části je rozebrána funkce a výchovné možnosti dětských domovů, např.: důvody umísťování dětí, vlivy prostředí na osobnost dětí žijících v domově atd. Třetí část je výzkumná. Zde jsou uvedeny základní informace získané šetřením formou volného rozhovoru a vyhodnocení získaných údajů. Závěr obsahuje konstatování, že mladí lidé jsou na život mimo dětský domov velmi pečlivě připravováni po teoretické stránce. Avšak reálný život sebou přináší nečekané a složité situace, na které připravit nelze.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the one of many serious problems of young people leaving the orphanage. The main research question is: Are children adequately prepared to leave the orphanage? At the beginning of this thesis I am presenting reasons for choosing this topic. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part basic concepts are defined, such as family, alternative family care and more. In the second features and educational opportunities of children's homes are analyzed, such as: the reasons for placing children, environmental influences on the personality of children living in the home, etc. The third part is the research. Here are the basic information collected through the investigation of free discussion and evaluation of the collected data. The conclusion contains a statement that young people are prepared for living outside the childhood home in theory very carefully. But real life brings unexpected and difficult situations which they can not be prepared.
