The Importance and Role of Social Worker's Self-Reflection for Working with Users in a Low-Threshold Facility for Children and Youth

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá významem a rolí sebereflexe sociálních pracovníků v kontextu práce s uživateli v nízkoprahovém zařízení pro děti a mládež. Práce kombinuje teoretický přístup s praktickým využitím kvalitativní výzkumné strategie, přičemž polostrukturované rozhovory jsou interpretativně analyzovány fenomenologickým přístupem. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vymezení pojmů jako je sebereflexe a sebepoznání, dále definicí sociálního pracovníka a jeho kompetencí a také nízkoprahovému zařízení pro děti a mládež. V rámci výzkumu budou uskutečněny rozhovory se sociálními pracovnicemi, které jsou dennodenně v kontaktu s uživateli nízkoprahového zařízení pro děti a mládež. Cílem práce bude prozkoumat, jakým způsobem sociálních pracovníci vnímají význam a roli sebereflexe při interakci s uživateli v nízkoprahovém zařízení.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the importance and role of self-reflection of social workers in the context of work with users in a low-threshold facility for children and youth. The thesis combines a theoretical approach with the practical use of a qualitative research strategy, while semi-structured interviews are interpretively analysed using a phenomenological approach. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of concepts such as self-reflection and self-knowledge, as well as the definition of the social worker and his/her competences, and the low threshold facility for children and youth. The research will include interviews with social workers who are in daily contact with users of low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The aim of the thesis will be to explore how social workers perceive the importance and role of self-reflection when interacting with users in a low-threshold facility.
