Assessment of the economic development and proposal of the financial management strategy of the company RUDOLF JELÍNEK, a. s.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vyhodnotit ekonomický vývoj a finanční situaci podniku RUDOLF JELÍNEK, a. s., v letech 2010-2014, posoudit vliv metanolové aféry v roce 2012 na hospodaření podniku a na základě těchto výsledků identifikovat silné a slabé stránky podniku, příležitosti a hrozby v odvětví a navrhnout doporučení pro další směřování podniku. Použitými metodami jsou PEST analýza, Porterův model pěti sil a finanční analýza včetně analýzy absolutních, rozdílových a poměrových ukazatelů, ekonomické přidané hodnoty, bonitních a bankrotních modelů a mezipodnikového srovnávání. Analýzy jsou prováděny z pohledu manažerů firmy, kteří jsou za řízení firmy zodpovědní. Zdrojem informací jsou hlavně výroční zprávy podniku, informace získané při osobním rozhovoru s panem Miroslavem Motyčkou a dále také statistiky a údaje z Českého statistického úřadu či Ministerstva průmyslu a obchodu České republiky. V závěru jsou uvedeny stěžejní výsledky strategické analýzy a doporučení k nim.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to assess the economic development and financial situation of the company RUDOLF JELÍNEK, a. s., in the years 2010-2014, to evaluate the effects of the 2012 methanol scandal on the economy of the company and, based on these results, to identify the company's strengths and weaknesses, threats and opportunities in the field and to give recommendations for the future direction of the company. Methods used include PEST analysis, Porter's five forces model and financial analysis including the analysis of the absolute indicators, distinction indicators and ratios, economic value added, bankruptcy and credibility models and intercompany comparison. The analyses have been conducted from the point of view of the company's managers, who are responsible for the management of the company. The sources of information used in the thesis have mostly been the company's annual reports, information collected during a personal interview with Mr Miroslav Motyčka, as well as statistical data provided by the Czech Statistical Office and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The conclusion presents the key results of the strategic analysis and relevant recommendations.
