Financial Situation Assessment of CS Cabot, s. r. o.

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce je zhodnocení aktuální finanční situace podniku CS Cabot, s. r. o. aplikací vybraných metod finanční analýzy, a to v kontextu daného průmyslovému odvětví. Za využití teoretických konceptů, metod a nástrojů finanční analýzy byla provedena finanční analýza této společnosti na základě dat z jejích výročních zpráv. Výsledky této analýzy byly podrobeny hodnocení na bázi teoretických poznatků a doporučení. Použitím dat Ministerstva průmyslu a obchodu České republiky byla poté provedena parciální finanční analýza odvětví, ve kterém daný podnik působí, sloužící ke srovnání finanční situace zkoumaného podniku s průměrnými hodnotami svého odvětví v rámci České republiky. Pracovní hypotéza předpokládá dobrou finanční kondici zkoumaného podniku, tedy, že je schopen splácet své závazky, vytvářet konstantně zisk, a že efektivně využívá svá aktiva. Důkazem toho bude hodnota rentability aktiv vyšší než osm procent a hodnota rentability vlastního kapitálu vyšší než deset procent. Dále předpokládá, že rovněž výsledek Altmanova testu prokáže uspokojivou finanční situaci podniku, tedy hodnota Z-skóre bude vyšší než 2,6 a v Kralickově quisktestu bude podnik ohodnocen více než třemi body, čímž prokáže svou bonitu. Bylo zjištěno, že finanční situace podniku je dle všech využitých ukazatelů finanční analýzy na velmi dobré úrovni, a to jak při srovnání s teoretickými východisky, tak při srovnání s hodnotami za průmyslové odvětví, do nějž podnik spadá.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis is to evaluate the current financial situation of the company CS Cabot, s. r. o. and in the context of the industrial sector by apllicating the selected methods of financial analysis. This thesis evaluates the financial situation of the company CS Cabot, spol. s r. o. On the basis of data from company’s annual reports it was conducted the financial analysis of the company using examined theoretical concepts, methods and tools. The results of this analysis were subjected to evaluation based on theoretical findings and recommendations. Using data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic was then carried out a partial financial analysis of the sector of industry in which the company operates, so that it could be examined the financial situation of the company with regards to the average values of this sector in the Czech Republic. The work’s hypothesis assumes a good financial condition of examined company, which means that the company is able to meet its financial obligations, to generate profit, and that it uses its assets effectively. The proof of this assumes will be the return on assets range higher than eight percent, return on equity range higher than ten percent. It also envisages the Altman test z-score higher than 2.6, reporting the satisfying financial situation as well as the result of Kralick’s Quicktest of bonity mark higher than three. It was found that according to all the examined indicators of financial analysis, the financial situation of the company is at a very good level, both in comparison with the theoretical background and in comparison with the industry sector to which the company belongs.
