Revision of the Preschool Education Curriculum in the context of the Preschool Teacher

Abstract:

Diplomová práce má teoreticko-empiricky charakter a zabyvá se současnou revizí předškolního kurikula v kontextu učitele mateřské školy. Teoretická část představuje pojem kurikulum a jeho široké pojetí, popisuje historické proměny předškolního kurikula a analyzuje změny, kterymi prochází předškolní kurikulum v současnosti. Empirická část představuje kvalitativně orientovany vyzkum, ktery byl realizován pomocí metod focus group a interview s učiteli mateřskych škol. Hlavním cílem vyzkumu je odhalit přístup učitelů mateřskych škol k revizi předškolního kurikula. Vyzkum byl zaměřen na míru informovanosti učitelů o současné revizi předškolního kurikula, na jejich přístup k očekávanym změnám a analyzu současnych problémů v předškolním vzdělávaní, na základě, kterych by sami učitelé navrhovali změny a jejich doporučení pro úspěšné zavedení změn do praxe mateřskych škol. Z vyzkumného šetření vyplívá, že učitelé mateřskych škol jsou otevřeni novym změnám v předškolním vzdělávání, avšak negativně vnímají průběh současné revize předškolního vzdělávání, která dle učitelů probíhá v pozadí revize základního vzdělávání a upozorňují na nedostatek veřejně dostupnych informací k plánovanym změnám, o které mají učitelé mateřskych škol zájem.

Abstract:

The masters thesis is theoretically empirical and deals with current revision of the preschool education curriculum in the context of the preschool teacher. The theoretical part introduces the term and broad concept of curriculum, focuses on historical changes of the preschool curriculum and analyzes the changes that the preschool curriculum is currently undergoing. The empirical part describes qualitatively oriented research which was realised methods of focusgroup and interviews with preschool teachers. The aim of the research is to determine the approach of preschool teachers to the revision of the preschool curriculum. The research was focused on the level of teachers' awareness of the current revision of the preschool curriculum, their approach to changes, analysis of current problems in preschool education based on which the teachers themselves recommended changes, and their successful introduction of changes into the practice of kindergartens. The research shows that preschool teachers are open to new changes in preschool education, but they have a negative perception of the current revision of the preschool education, which, according to the teachers, is taking place in the background of the revision of the primary education, and they draw attention to the lack of publicly available information to achieve the changes that preschool teachers are interested in.
