Public Administration and Employment of People in Execution of Punishment

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se zabývám stavem českého vězeňství, především problémem zaměstnanosti osob ve výkonu trestu a problémů s tímto tématem související. Jsou zde vysvětleny pojmy týkající se vězeňství, popisuji zde instituce související s výkonem trestu, uvádím zde části zákona a jiných pravidel, které se týkají pracovní činnosti odsouzených osob. V další kapitole je stručně popsána historie českého vězeňství zhruba od roku 1957 až do roku 1989. V další kapitole se věnuji současnému stavu vězeňství v České republice. V kapitole následující je přiblíženo vězeňství v Rakousku, ve Švýcarsku a v USA. Teoretickou část uzavírá shrnutí problematiky zaměstnanosti, praktická část práce potom obsahuje zpracování a vyhodnocení výsledků dotazníků, které obsahují údaje, získané od zaměstnanců věznic.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the state of the Czech prison service, first of all with the problem of the employment of the people in execution of punishment and related issues. I further explain the terms concerning prison service, I describe the institutions relating to the execution of punishment, I also mention parts of law and regulations concerning the employment of the imprisoned. In the following chapter there is the description of the history of the Czech prison service from the year 1957 to 1989. In the next chapter I turn to the contemporary state of the prison service in the Czech Republic. The following chapter brings a closer look on prison service in Austria, Switzerland and the USA. The theoretical part is then closed by the summary of the issues of employment, the practical part contains elaboration and evaluation of questionaires, that contain information gained from the prison employees.
