Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Životní cesty učitelů bojových umění“ popisuje tyto učitele pomocí dvou analýz: biografického výzkumu a interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy. První z nich přináší důležité okamžiky a rozhodnutí v životě těchto lidí a zakresluje je do časové osy. Druhá analýza, primární, odkrývá čtyři témata vlastní respondentům. Ty popisují práci s egem, duchovní praxi a nastavení životní filozofie, způsob ovlivňování studentů a obraz sebe jako učitele, transformaci svého „já“ a jeho hledání a také cíl bojových umění, ukrytý mezi řádky sebeobrany a bojového sportu. Teoretická část obsahuje vysvětlení a popis konceptu ega napříč Východem a Západem, osobnostní a kulturní psychologií a také přihlédnutí k taoismus, buddhismu a konfucianismus. Tyto směry jsou také stručně charakterizovány. Další část tvoří historie kung fu a základní informace, nutné k pochopení této práce. Například rozdíl moderního a tradičního kung fu a jeho základní rozdělení. Na závěr jsou uvedeny obě metody kvalitativního výzkumu, použity v této práci a jejich způsob aplikace a teoretická východiska; konkrétně hermeneutika, fenomenologie a ideografický přístup.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „Martial arts teachers' life paths“ describes these teachers using two types of analysis: biographical research and interpretative phenomenological analysis. First of them brings important moments and decisions of their lives and draw them into a timeline. The second analysis, that is more important, uncovers four topics of these respondents. These topics describe work with ego, spiritual practice, setting a philosophy of life, ways of influencing students, the image of themselves as teachers, transformation of self and searching for themselves and also a goal of martial arts, hidden between the lines of the self-defense and the combat sport. The theoretical part contains an explanation and description of ego across the East and the West, personality psychology and culture psychology and also this term with a consideration of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. These concepts are briefly characterized, as well. The next part contains history of kung fu and basic information, needed for understanding of this research. For example, the difference between modern and traditional wushu and its basic distribution. At the end, two methods of qualitative research and its application and theoretical backgrounds are stated. Namely Hermeneutics, Phenomenology and the ideographic approach.
