Impact of economic crisis on migration in Spain between 2008 and 2014

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza vlivu hospodářské krize na migraci obyvatel ve Španělsku v letech 2008 až 2014. Teoretická část se nejdříve věnuje pojmu migrace, důvodům k migraci a faktorům, které migraci ovlivňují. V další části rozebírá vývoj migrace ve Španělsku od 19. století až do konce 20. století. V praktické části je analyzován vývoj vybraných ekonomických veličin v průběhu krize. Dále je jejich vývoj dán do souvislosti s vývojem migrace ve Španělsku. Práce se poté zaměřuje na vnější a vnitřní migraci obyvatel narozených ve Španělsku. V závěru jsou uvedeny dopady migrace na španělskou ekonomiku.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the impact of the economic crisis on migration of Spanish population between 2008 and 2014. The theoretical part is at first dedicated to the concept of migration, reasons for migration and the factors that affect migration. The next section discusses the evolution of migration in Spain since the 19th century until the late 20th century. The practical part analyses the development of selected economic variables during the crisis. Further, its development is given in connection with the development of migration in Spain. This thesis is also focused on external and internal migration of people born in Spain. In the end it describes the impacts of migration on Spanish economy.
