Identification of problems of a Beginning physical education teacher at the graduates of the department of physical education and sport in Ústí nad Labem

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zaměřuje na identifikaci problémů začínajícího učitele v tělesné výchově a porovnává je se studijním plánem oboru Učitelství tělesné výchovy na Univerzitě Jana Evangelisty Purkyně. Teoretická část shrnuje poznatky o profesi učitele, důkladněji se zaměřuje na učitele tělesné výchovy, uvádějícího učitele a začínajícího učitele s jeho hlavními problémy. Podrobně je popsán rámcový vzdělávací program a plán studia na UJEPu. Dále je zmíněna školní praxe a předchozí výzkumy. V praktické části hledáme odpovědi na výzkumné otázky prostřednictvím dotazníku. Získaná data analyzujeme kategorizací jednotlivých problémů a komparací dat mezi skupinami učitelů. Závěrem uvádíme konkrétní problémy, s kterými se začínající učitel musí potýkat, například z obecných problémů práce s problémovými žáky, vedení pedagogické dokumentace a jednání s rodiči, z problémů v tělesné výchově například nezájem dětí o pohyb, zapojení všech žáků do sportovních činností, příprava a vedení kurzů. V závěru dáváme doporučení ke zkvalitnění studia učitelství na katedře tělesné výchovy v Ústí nad Labem.

Abstract:

This Diploma Thesis focuses on identification of problems of a newly qualified teacher in Physical Education and compares it with the curriculum of the study programme Teaching of Physical Education at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University. The Theoretical Part of the Thesis summarizes findings about the profession of a teacher, it thoroughly focuses on the teacher of Physical Education, the initiatory teacher and the newly qualified teacher and his or her problems. There is a detailed description of the Framework Education Programme and the Study Plan of UJEP. Moreover, teaching practice and previous research are mentioned. In the Practical Part answers to research questions via a questionnaire are searched. The received data are analysed through the categorisation of particular problems and the comparison of the data among the groups of teachers. In the conclusion, concrete problems of a newly qualified teacher are shown, for example some general problems of problematic pupils, the management of pedagogical documentation and also dealing with parents. As far as the problems of the Physical Education Teaching are concerned, there is the lack of interest of children in exercise in general, involving children in sports activities and the preparation and leadership of courses. The conclusion gives a recommendation of the quality improvement in Teaching of Physical Education at the Department of Physical Education in Ústí nad Labem.
