Subcellular localization of nestin in tumor cells
Abstract:
Nestin je protein VI. třídy intermediárních filament, který je v současné době považován za důležitý marker neuronálních kmenových/progenitorových buněk v embryogenezi. V dospělém organizmu byl detekován v místech poškození CNS a v nádorově transformovaných buňkách různých typů solidních nádorů. Nestin belongs to the class VI of intermediate filament proteins and is considered to be a useful neuronal stem/progenitor cell marker during mammalian embryogenesis. In adult organism, nestin has been detected in the CNS tissue after injuries and in transformed cells of various solid tumor types.
