Biological family in the process of foster care

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu pěstounské péče, konkrétně významu biologické rodiny v životě dítěte umístěného v pěstounské péči. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, část teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část vymezuje pojmy jako je rodina a její význam pro dítě. Představuje důvody umístění dětí mimo biologickou rodinu. Popisuje systém náhradní rodinné výchovy, podrobněji se věnuje systému náhradní rodinné péče. Dále se věnuje tématům motivace pěstounů, jejich vztahu s biologickou rodinou, kontaktu s biologickou rodinou a komunikaci o ní, identitě dítěte a attachmentu. Na teoretickou část navazuje část empirická, jejiž cílem je porozumět osobní zkušenosti pěstounů, zjistit jejich názor na význam biologické rodiny v životě přijatého dítěte a identifikovat faktory, které do tohoto vztahu vstupují.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of foster care, namely the importance of biological family in the life of a child placed in foster care. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part defines terms such as family and its meaning for the child. It presents the reasons for placing children outside the biological family. It describes the system of substitute family education. It also deals with the topic of motivation of foster parents, their relationship with biological family, contact with biological family and communication about it, identity of child and attachment. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical part, the aim of which is to understand the personal experience of foster parents, to find out their opinion on the importance of a biological family in the life of a received child and to identify factors that enter this relationship.
