Life in the Retirement Home Tovačov from the Clients´ Perspective

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá životem seniorů v Domově pro seniory Tovačov, tak jak ho vnímají klienti. V teoretické části nás seznamuje se základními pojmy, kterými jsou stáří, stárnutí a potřeby seniorů. Dále se zmiňuje o sociálních službách a domovech pro seniory. Podstatnou částí je také adaptace seniorů na pobyt v zařízení pobytových služeb sociální péče. V poslední kapitole teoretické části se zabývá aktivizací seniorů a aktivizačními metodami. Metodologická část se věnuje kvalitativnímu výzkumu, jehož hlavním cílem je zjistit, jak senioři vnímají a hodnotí život v Domově pro seniory Tovačov.

Abstract:

Following bachelor's work pursues the life of elderly citizens in Tovačov Retirement Home the way their clients see it. The theoretical part introduces the basic terms, such as old age, aging process and needs of senior citizens. Essential part of this work is also the residence adaptation of pensioners in the long-stay social care facility. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the elderly-citizens' activation and the methods of activation. The methodological part dedicates to the qualitative study with the main goal to find out how the pensioners perceive and review their lives in a particular retirement home.
